Ford850 0 #1 Posted July 26, 2011 My C160 trans lever only moves forward alittle, causing the tractor to go real slow.It goes faster in reverse than forward. The tractor was working fine and then I could'nt move the lever. The oil level is good and the lift works. What should I check first. Thanks in advance
TT-(Moderator) 1,145 #2 Posted July 26, 2011 :woohoo: Check the "return to neutral" cam plate where the rod from the brake pedal is attached. (make sure the brake pedal is completely "up" too) If no issues are found with the pedal/linkage/cam plate, check the plastic cam located at the top front of the hydro pump. (remove the "console" plate for access)
can whlvr 993 #3 Posted July 26, 2011 not to repeat what tt said but it sounds like the plastic cam, they are still available at the dealer,i bought 6 new ones for my c160,incase they stop making them,on my machine i had to shim the round ball that slides in the plastic cam,it was slipping out when the tractor would twist on side hills, the cams arnt expensive
