Scot 0 #1 Posted July 26, 2011 I have alot of trees in my yard. I originally bought this little rear engine Montgomery Wards mower to trim around my trees, house and flower beds but the motor ended up being in much worse shape than I hoped. I do need a little cart to pull behind the tractor to pick up sticks as I mow the grass. I'm also looking for any excuse to use my welder, I am way out of practice. Anyone considering the Eastwood mig welders I am very happy with mine. So the chopping begins. Cut the frame in half so it's easier to work with. Beginings of a yard cart. The frame spar was to high for a decent hitch height so I decided to cut that off as well. Notch out the frame with my grinder. That rectangle hole was a perfect fit to weld a peice of 3" x 1 1/2" in for the trailer tongue. My tractor came with a peice bolted on to raise up the hitch height. I removed it because it looked bad and was crooked and just use the stock hitch. However the one part of it fit perfect for my new trailer, so I welded it to the bottom of the toungue And there you have it. A home made yard cart. Not sure about the size of the box yet but I'm thinking bigger than this peice of plywood.
