Wheel Colors

I was just recently looking through some threads and saw a few tractors on here (older round nose ones) with black wheels. I really like them, more-so then the white.

I was thinking, when I do my Bronco, I am going to be re-using the chrome hubcaps. You do see the outer portion of the wheel though. I was thinking about doing the wheels black, with the Chrome hubcaps. I think it would make the wheels pop a little more.

I know its all up to me, yada yada, but what do you guys think?

I think on your project it might be cool to do them in the same red as the tractor. Then with the hubcaps on only a little red will show through kind of like the old redline muscle car tires. But the shiny black will make the caps "pop" as well.

To be honest, I actually was thinking about doing them the same red. The only thing I am worried about, is "over-red", where there is too much red on it. I want to do some things black as accent points, and I think the wheels would look really sharp with a gloss black and chrome hubcap.

That's also one reason why I am going to be adding the stripe back to the hood (one previous owner pulled it off), as it will break up the red on the hood and make it a little bit more eye pleasing.

i have seen many tractors here that members customized to there liking,i think it adds a little something to the tractors,its yours so do what you like(as you allready stated)but please dont paint them green :woohoo:

No way will it be green lol.

I also talked to my dad for his opinion, and he said "do the black, it will look allot better", so I guess gloss black wheels it is!

After seeing the pics in your other thread, I'll second the black rims. I didn't realize there was so much of the rear rim exposed. The red would have been too much.
