darren 49 #1 Posted July 14, 2011 Howdy, I have a 312-8 over here in the UK and I was wondering how interchangable the transmissions are because I might have the opportunity to pick up a reasonably priced early hydrostatic unit from a Charger 12. I appreciate there's stuff like the related pipework to conisder but can anybody tell me how interchangable the units are otherwise ? can whlvr 993 #2 Posted July 15, 2011 since noone chimed in im no expert but i think you are right,not going to inter change,but maybe you could change the whole rear end and then you have the control issues to deal with,the levers arnt going to be the same,the parking pawl lever ,and probally lots of other issues i dont know of Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Stigian 1,234 #4 Posted July 17, 2011 Hi Darren it's always good to have another UK member on board Don is right the trans will swap over no problem, it's the controls that would give you problems unless you fancy fabing something to do the job.
