illinilefttackle 399 #1 Posted July 13, 2011 Hey guys-long time no see!-I've been wrapped up in taking care of my foster sons/grandsons. You may remember the restoration of the 656. It is my primary mower because of its maneuverability and the rear discharge deck cuts so well. I had to replace the mower belt-just got too stretched out- then I ran into a problem-the deck blades would not stop turning I can't remember having this problem with the old belt. I was going to post a question on here- but I figured it out myself-thought I would share it- in case there is some one out there as naive as I about some things to do with Wheel Horses. Here is the way the ole girl looks now and the way she was at first notice the belt routing in this pic Then I found this pic I saved of a 656 belt setup so I would know how to put "Humpty" back together again See the little "Shoe" near the idler pulley? This pushes on the belt and "idles" it when you disengage the pto. Now I just have to fab one-I'll be back with pics when its done-Thanks-Al
