CRE1992 135 #1 Posted July 1, 2011 I recently bought a 1995 520H, and after driving it around (playing with it), I noticed that you can push the lever to move forward about 3/4 of an inch forward before the machine starts to creep forward, however when you push down and pull back to put it into reverse it goes right into creeping into reverse. When the tractor is put in neutral it stays right in neutral doesn't creep back or forth at all, any ideas? Thanks Charles
boovuc 1,090 #2 Posted July 1, 2011 Hi Charles, I copied these instructions from another RedSquare member for adjusting the hydro controls on a 520H. I don't remember the author but it is good advice and a great instruction set. Good Luck! BooVuc Mill Hall, PA "Jack up the rear and put axle stands in place so the rear wheels just clear ground. Chock the front wheels. Under the seat is the cam plate, as you move the motion lever the cam moves, disconnect the linkage between the two. Start the tractor and adjust the cam plate by hand until the wheels are stationary, switch off the tractor. Put the motion control lever in its neutral position, now adjust the linkage so that it can be reconnected..without moving either the cam plate or the motion control lever in the process! You should now have neutral in the right place! Holding a constant speed in use depends on the tightness of the bolt in the slot in the cam plate, I've found that a fibre washer under the steel washer helps a lot.(no need for it to be as tight) Hope this all makes sense...and helps you out."
