Paint Help!

Recommended Posts

shaker

I have a 74 C-120 Auto that was recently in a fire and I need an actual part number for the paint so I can claim it on the insurance. Yes they are actually going to pay to rebuild my baby!!! Is there anyone that can help me? I have scoured many forums and websites and heard/seen/read anything from the "new" toro red to IH red to stop sign red as close matches.

Thank You

I would just price out the Toro Red for the insurance, then use IH or what ever paint you want to use on the tractor.

According to the paint chart, Red-Apple, 361-1 is for 12 oz. spray cans and 503-42 is for gallon cans. It says "for Toro products built before 1990 (old red)"

503-42 cross references to 361-11 which is Toro Red-New...

I agree with Don. Go to the dealer and price Toro Red. At least 2 Quarts to be safe. That would be with a regular spray gun,not HVLP. here is a part number for the can I have:

A quart should price around $55.

You could also call the number on the can in the second pic. They make the paint for Toro Wheelhorse. I have talked to Niles when I wanted to know the thinner and mixing ratio.

Good luck on your rebuild, Rich
