I don't think the kids should use that one. Here's a video of a similar one. It's great as long as you never ever trip and fall or wear loose clothing. You may want to sign up for organ donation before using also.

tunahead72 2,424 #22 Posted June 21, 2011 It's been fun reading all this information about splitters, but I can't be watching the videos just before I go to bed, my dreams are bizarre enough as it is! All of this reminded me of a book I picked up many years ago, called "Barnacle Parp's Guide to Garden & Yard Power Tools", a hugely entertaining and actually very useful book for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. There's a section on power wood splitters in there, where the author describes what he says was the very first commercially available axle-mounted screw type splitter, called the Stickler after its inventor. It looks very similar to the photo that Terry (TT) included, and is probably similar to the truck-mounted splitters that some of you guys have mentioned. Maybe I'll get the nerve to watch those videos in the morning. :WRS:

Hey, Ed....those dreams wouldn't be related to anything we might have done "back in the day" when Hot Tuna was in its early years, now would they?
