Rick Stanley 0 #1 Posted June 17, 2011 I bought a used 7-1260 tiller for my Honda h-6522 tractor. It will bury itself to any desired depth while sitting still. As soon as the tractor moves forward, even in low low gear, the tiller walks to the surface. Acts like the tines aren't turning fast enough. It's a 540 rpm pto, draft set heavy. Even added weight. That was no good. Any thoughts? Thank You!!
Cody 276 #2 Posted June 17, 2011 That wheel horse tiller is setup to run on a 2000 rpm pto. i would say you need the correct tiller for your honda tractor so the tines spin fast enough.
Rick Stanley 0 #3 Posted June 17, 2011 AH-HA!! Well then, that answers that question. Thanks a million!! Probably I'll never get rid of that tiller. What's it worth? Will it run on any other brand? Do other tractors have 2000rpm pto's? You can see I have lots of questions :hide:
Cody 276 #4 Posted June 17, 2011 Wheel Horse is the only brand that i am aware of that has a 2000 rpm pto, most other brands are 540 or 1000, so i would say it will only work on a wheel horse D series or C-195.
520HC 207 #5 Posted June 19, 2011 Most brands use a 2000 RPM PTO. John Deere 300,400 series,Ariens,Cub Cadet all have 2000 rpm ptos.
