duals or wide tires on GT14 or 1054

has anyone put wide tires or duals on a GT14 or 1054? there is a guy selling a set of 26" diameter 13" wide AG tires from a scissors lift (or something like that) they are solid and heavy. seems like a good idea then i don't need added weight... they are to big for my round hoods but i have a GT14 and 1054 now. it seems these tractors are tailored to the tall and skinny tires so I'm curious as to what wide tires would be like...

These are 29x12x15 they would fit on wider wheels, I think you would have fender room.

And so you know I mounted these on 10" wide rims, I've seen the same tire on a 8" rim, and it pulls the sides in and bows the tread up in the middle.

hey kelly, i was just going through your build thread on your diesel tractor and saw you took your wheel centers from what looks like a narrower set of 15" wheels? what happened to the tires you took of those wheels? thanks

they are 6 bolt wheels, with dual patttern, you could just use D hubs on a 1 1/8" axle, then they would bolt on, but I had to make the wide rims, so you could just widen the stock 4 bolt rims, but I think the 6 bolt looks tuff, I think there is a set of hubs from a D on ebay right now.

Just seen your post, I still have those skinny ags, stop in and you can have them, they are ruff, and going soon.

as far as fender room goes, the fenders on the 1054s flare up and outward which would help with a bigger tire. the rear of the fender (small part) is going to be the closest part to the tread, it doesnt flare as much...

hmm they didn't look that rough in your picture. if you think they are usable could you please hold on to them for me? i would like to swing out some time in the next few weeks to get some parts from you anyway. i was going to call last night as i picked that tractor up in the grand ledge but it was getting late.

i wouldn't need wheels with the tires that i was talking about. they are a solid core tire (heavy!) on steel wheels. here are some pictures of them... looks like they are a 6 bolt actually
