stevebo-(Moderator) 8,330 #2 Posted June 10, 2011 I think Sparky stays there ?? When are you leaving for the show?
Sparky-(Admin) 21,315 #3 Posted June 10, 2011 I was staying at the Hampton Inn at about $160+ for a night in Gettysburg which was a 25 minute drive from the show. I tried the Blue Sky out a couple years ago and it was half the price and only 5 minutes (not 20 minutes) to the show. Is it fancy...nope. Is there a continental brakfast....nope. But it stuck an extra $75 in my pocket for "red stuff" or fuel . Theres a great restaurant between the Blue Sky and the show called the Apple Bin Grill (or something close to that) that serves up fantastic food. I just need a place to crash for the night and cant justify spending twice as much money in Gettysburg. Its just my son and I in a room and my neighbor Tony and his kid in another room and we ain't picky. Maybe we'll see ya there Chris. Mike.........
rmaynard 15,456 #4 Posted June 10, 2011 I believe "Duke" (HorseFixer) can tell you something about the Blue Sky. He says it's the reason he bought a motorhome. :hide:

rmaynard 15,456 #15 Posted June 10, 2011 I will be there in what Ray (suburban550) calls the Maynard Hotel: If you find Ray (suburban550), Brain (buckrancher), and Mike (MikesRJ), the "Maynard Hotel" will be right there too. The rates are a lot cheaper than even the Blue Sky. :hide:

rmaynard 15,456 #23 Posted June 13, 2011 So, is anyone from NH, ME going down? Also, you can camp on the show grounds? If so, where? There are designated areas for camping, and a few with electric hookup available. There is no charge for camping Friday night, but $20 for Thursday and/or Saturday. Bathrooms with showers are located in several areas.

rodco 0 #25 Posted June 24, 2011 Blue sky is always sold out. I stayed at the sister motel (same owner as blue sky) down the road a bit..called the north ridge. Very spartan, but very clean. The room is all new ( new carpet, beds, furniture, fridge, microwave etc. Plenty of parking. Paid $49.00. The beds are clean and comfy (new too) and the A/C is ice cold. I met a couple guys who stayed here last year and we went to dinner at night, maybe I will see them tomorrow at the show.
