1973 auto 18 won't move

Picked up a 1973 Auto 18 over the weekend, it runs good but has a few issues.

1. It will not move forward or reverse unless I play(wiggle/move up/down) with the lift valves

2. Dynamic braking does not seem to work at all (scary).

I took the front plate off the lift valve and I don't see the stamped serial numbers, do I have an "early cast iron model" ?

3. What filter and fluid should I use? I checked the dipstick and the fluid in it is redish/pink .

make shure the push or tow valve is closed it should be on one side of the tractor there is a little hole and it has a rod with a straight blade screw driver slot in it make sure it is turned all the way to the clockwise position

also does the lift work ok by it self

Checked the tow valve and it is tight. I also checked both lift cylinders and they do work extend retract properly.

if you have 3 point can you stand on the arms and hacve it pic you up and does it roll freely or tight

hi i know im a bit off here but where do i find the towe valve on my c 121 auto it dosent run and i need to get it off the property its on in a hurry
