Jerking Hydro?

Recommended Posts

skrusins

I never owned a WH with a hydro, and not sure what to expect.

I have a Kubota zero turn and when going from forward to reverse

it doesn't jerk or jump, it really does tear up the grass though.

I'm hoping that it's me, but when I mow with my WH if I shift from

foward to reverse it make a stop. Then when I shift forward it to

lunge or buck. When I go down hill it wants to go fast and I have to

pull back on the lever. Going uphill I have to keep the lever up to

make it up.

I been reading and enjoying your site, very informative and great group

of members. I notice that there is and alot of members that have hydros.

I hope I'm doing something wrong and get some help, or is this common.

Thanks in advance

me alot. I do feel like I use a smooth action, but maybe not

smooth enough. Thanks reply really helps.

My 416H speeds up going downhill, and slows going uphill. It will jerk when the lever is moved rapidly, due to the "dynamic braking" feature built in to the Eaton 1100 hydro. I have learned a soft touch alleviates the jerking when moving the stick. I can slide the tires easily on the smooth concrete floor when rapidly slowing down from full speed.
