Woodsman 3 #1 Posted June 3, 2011 This was a non-running tractor I picked up last fall. I rebuilt the carb and it now runs like a top. I replaced part of the steering (Thanks Dave) and then decided to clean it up. One thing led to another and here I am three months later. Red paint is Valspar Restoration Series. I love the color but the spray cans were tough to work with. More than once I had to strip and start over. Wheels are Valspar Almond and tires were done with Miller Tire Paint. Thanks for the tip on that excellent product! For the finishing touch, I added some seat springs donated by Cole's dad. Thank you Kevin! I'm finally sitting up and back - making the ride so much more comfortable. Thanks to everyone for all the tips and advice. Here's the starting point: The start of teardown The finished product Just waiting for the last decals.
Horse'n Around 22 #2 Posted June 3, 2011 Wow that turned out terrific, You did a great job on it John. I have been thinking about putting a set of seat springs on my Raider too, what with my broken back I think it will be a great improvement over how it came. Well done John

Woodsman 3 #12 Posted June 5, 2011 Thanks for all the compliments. It means a lot coming from you guys. I got the foot treads at Harbor Freight. Here's a link http://www.harborfreight.com/self-adhesive...read-98856.html On another note, an observant member has corrected me on the model of my tractor. It isn't a C-160 but rather a 16 Auto. Guess I learned something new today.
