D200 hydro pump problems

Recommended Posts

I put the grader blade on the tractor the other day to grade the driveway and noticed that I cannot lift it unless the hydro lever is in the stop/neutral position, also forward speed is pretty slow and I am unable to go up hill or push any large quantity of gravel does this mean the pump is bad and if so are these repairable can I get parts and repair it myself? I did not replace the fluid or filter but they look good and fluid is full, I didn't see the temp get over 125 degrees. I have a parts D200 but how do I check the pump to make sure it's good since the motor doesn't run?

you may be able to get some parts for the pump,is it a sundstrand?i went to a reputable hydro rebuild shop, they do large equipment pumps,he got me some parts and we got some machined, you will have to put the spare pump on and try it out, thats probally the easiest way to check the spare pump

I would change the fluid/filter. Maybe could be a clogged filter :hide:

Parts are available from Sundstrand, but are very pricey. D series have a split system a separate hydro pump and a hydro motor. You should down load the sundstrand service manual it has diagnostics. but you will need a pressure gage. I replaced the pump on my D200 only to find out the real problem was the hydro motor...I didn't have a pressure gage :hide:
