can anyone tell me the correct colors for a 1979 c-81 wheel horse.

i need engine color

tins color

body color

are there codes or numbers i need to look for.

Search the section you are in now and you will find many, many, many posts on color.

The short and sweet of it is that there is no hard and fast color for a Wheel Horse. Most seem to think that IH Red is the closest to any original color. Color varied from year to year and model to model, depending on who Wheel Horse was buying paint from at the time.

Kohler engines from the factory were slightly different than the body color, but when restoring, most guys paint everything the same.

A good rule of thumb is, if you like the color, and it looks good on your Wheel Horse, then that is the correct color.
