ChiefRider 0 #1 Posted May 18, 2011 Just a hello from NW CT. I'm a long-time tractor owner, with my 1968 Wheel Horse Charger 9 the latest addition. I bought it from my 90 year old dad, when he decided he didn't need 3 Wheel Horse tractors anymore! My Charger is in very nice original condition, and came with the mower deck and leaf vacuum attachments. I'm taking care of one or two very minor details on this tractor, and will post a picture or two when the weather clears up. I also have 1952 GardenMastr, a 1962 Simplicity 725 and a 1941 John Deere H. I'm sure I'll have a question or two, but in the meantime, I'll have a look around. Thanks for having a nice forum here! ChiefRider 0 #4 Posted May 18, 2011 I suppose I should add that I started out on a Wheel Horse as a kid in the late '60's. We had a Wheel Horse 753(?) I remember it being about a '62 or '63 vintage machine. It had a nice running Kohler engine. My brother installed a long trumpet 6v horn, mounted on the side, with a heavy duty push button to sound the horn. We had a lot of fun blowing that horn out in the field. trettig 0 #20 Posted May 19, 2011 Welcome. I am sure we would all love to see photos of your tractors. I am particularly interested in your 1952 GardenMastr. I have always admired those... Tom

ChiefRider 0 #22 Posted May 19, 2011 I'll get some photos when the weather lightens up a bit. The John Deere and the Wheel Horse are actually the nicest looking. The Deere looks almost new, and the WH isn't too far behind. The Simplicity does snow duty and has worked hard, but it's a good machine and I keep it running well. The GardenMastr is missing its tinwork, not too pretty but it runs fine and is a real tank.
