Paint Question Black Hood Paint

On The 417A The black grill paint on the front of the hood what is that? Like a matt or flat paint? Looks dull to me and dont know if its faded or what?

Also the dash panel parts is that shiney or faded? And what type of paint have you guys used on these?

Duke, I found for worker touch ups / restos the black rutomleum hammered works really well on any of the maroon/black stripe machines. Its lays nice and is super tough, I have even used it on utility trailers. As far as a points resortation not sure.

Brian ~ Who makes the Satin Black? MFG? Dash too?

Truckin ~ Is that for the dash too? 417A is a Maroon Stripe Does That make yer list too?

From what I have seen other than IH Red, no one has really posted a specific paint for the newer GT's, where on the round hoods people are more specific. The rustoluem lays nice, both satin and hammered, just what you prefer.

I have used used rusto satin "textured" on the grill as it hides a lot and looks sharp. Make sure you really press the tape down to get a good clean line :hide:
