Lawn Ranger kid 14 #1 Posted May 10, 2011 I have an rj 58 that needs the bearings replaced. The bearings in the differential are quite worn. But the axle sleeve on the transmission case is lightly scored. Sould I have this machined and use an oversized bearing, it would not affect the strength because very little would have to be machined of. Josh Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
VinsRJ 722 #2 Posted May 10, 2011 I tend to file the ruff or worn area down to smooth it out and then just replace the bushing. If you are planning on using the RJ for work then you may want to look into machining but, if its going to be a show queen you should be fine so long as there isn't excessive slop.
