Electro12WH 50 #3 Posted May 10, 2011 Wyhat doers the spark plug look like? Check it for color. It should be a tan color, not black.
Electro12WH 50 #4 Posted May 12, 2011 "Plugs are good. It runs perfrct when cold, but after 8-10 minutes,It sounds like it under a heavy load.It ran a little better when I idled it back some.I pulled chock out and then back in while running full speed.Made no difference. After running poorly for awhile, for no reason it started running better than it ever has.Cannot pinpoint problen" I would suggest checking out the carb for dirt, sediment. A carb rebuild may be called for. At least pull the carb bowl and check. Other things can be caused by warming up such as a bad coil breaking down, but I don't recommend replacing parts without checking the most obvious first. Butch 194 #5 Posted May 12, 2011 Mine was very hard to start. Turned out the fuel pump was leaking very badly. But when it ran it ran pretty good. Fuel pump took care of the problem. It also sounds like you might be do for a carb rebuild like someone mentioned. I just rebuilt mine from a C-85 which was fairly simple. Don't know about the K-17.
