condo630 6 #1 Posted May 3, 2011 I recently picked up a Raider 10, with an HH100. I was wondering what year it is. Nothing shows up when I search it on parts sites. Can anyone decode the numbers? MODEL: 1-6981 SERIAL: 466876
TT-(Moderator) 1,145 #2 Posted May 3, 2011  Check the model number closely....... It's probably either 1-6041 or 1-6051 and you misread it. Edit: it could also be a 1968 Raider 9 -- model number is 1-6931 & they have the HH100 too.

The numbers are not stamped very clearly on the ID plate, and it was getting dark. It has Raider 10 decals that look original, but I'm more inclined to believe the ID plate. I'll look at it more closely in the daytime. Do you know how I can tell what year it is?
TT-(Moderator) 1,145 #4 Posted May 4, 2011 The Raider 9 is 1968 only and had small "9" stickers placed over top of the "10" that's printed on the decals on the sides of the gas tank tray. 1-6931 is a 1968 Raider 9 1-6041 is a 1969 Raider 10 1-6051 is a 1970 Raider 10 There are pictures of all of those models in the PICTURE GALLERY
condo630 6 #5 Posted May 4, 2011  Thanks for the link. I'm still getting used to the site. Mine looks most like the '69. I'm trying to figure out how to post a picture.

condo630 6 #7 Posted May 4, 2011 Here are a few pictures. I will get a picture of the ID plate as soon as I can. Thanks everyone.
condo630 6 #8 Posted May 8, 2011 The Raider 9 is 1968 only and had small "9" stickers placed over top of the "10" that's printed on the decals on the sides of the gas tank tray. 1-6931 is a 1968 Raider 9 1-6041 is a 1969 Raider 10 1-6051 is a 1970 Raider 10 There are pictures of all of those models in the PICTURE GALLERY Might be a Raider 9. I looked again at the ID plate (I'll get a pic soon), it could be 1-6931 - the three looks almost like an 8 that didn't come out right. Notice the spot on the "Raider 10" decal that looks like it has the outline of another decal...why did they do that? What is the difference between a Raider 9 and a Raider 10? What is the difference between a Raider 9 and a Raider 10? The "9" vs. "10" must have had to do with either differentiating between Tecumseh and Kohler, proper advertising / marketing, or who-knows-why? Regardless, the HH-100 is rated @ 10hp. That style of tractor has to be either 1968 or 1969, and because of the metal "bread loaf" gas tank / short tank tray, (and the close resemblance to the 1-6931 model number) I say it's definitely a 1968 Raider 9........ and that's my final answer. The difference between a 1968 Raider 9 and a 1969 Raider 10 is essentially the seat, gas tank & tray, and the obvious decals.
Anglo Traction 761 #10 Posted May 8, 2011 I agree 1968 to be the best guess. The engine build date is 20th day of 1968 (20th January) assembly line B, 115095B is the 95th HH100 unit to be built.
