Tony S 2 #1 Posted April 24, 2011 Hi, I have 2 black hood tractors and the hoods on both tractors do not close onto the hood stand correctly. Despite adjusting the brackets on the tach-a-matic as high as possible the hoods are still too low at the front, so the top edge at the hood stand end sits above the foam strip. Thanks in advance. Tony.
baerpath 517 #2 Posted April 24, 2011 Check and see if the bottom of the hood is flat where the hinge mounts to it. Some of mine are pushed down and makes it look short. Either shim it or some of mine have a second plate between the hinge and hood. Duane with lots of black hoods

Tony S 2 #4 Posted April 25, 2011 Thanks for the reply Duane. The plate on the bottom of the hood is slightly bowed down making the front slightly higher but not high enough. I will make up some packing plates and buy some longer bolts!
