my front axel on my lawn 62 lawn ranger apears to have brass sleeves to fit the 8in rims. the problume is they are warn wanted to know if the sleeves were wheel horse kit or home made

I'd think they are home made....My two rangers have the small axles in them.

I bet the original axles got deep groves in them ( where the bearings ride on the axles ) and someone made those brass sleeves to cover the groves and take up the slack between the wheel and axle. Only thing is brass is so soft, it will wear out in no time. :wh: Just a thought!! :thumbs:

ya brass is bo good for his. I got them off an to my saprise there not groved at all.now i got them a part my freind owns a mashine shop. Hes gonna do them out of ss :thumbs: for the help

in sted of remaking the ends is there any model that will interchange the spindels to fit the lagerdiamder rim
