Hadley 0 #1 Posted April 19, 2011 Maybe you guys can help me. I cannot find the drain plug for my transmission (8 speed). I have a GT 1100 and the plug should be on the bottom I believe but I can't find it. I don't want to have to suck the excess fluid out through the side plug at the back. Could it possibly be under the drawbar and that is why I am not seeing it? thanks in advance.
rmaynard 15,603 #2 Posted April 19, 2011 Looking from the back, it should be just in front of, and to the left of the hitch tang (drawbar). It is a 1/4" NPT plug with a 1/4" recessed hex hole in it. If the bottom of the transmission is covered with dirt, mud and oil, you can sometimes miss it. Clean the inside of the hex real well before putting the allen wrench into it. Oh, by the way,

wh79d160 52 #7 Posted April 20, 2011 Is that the same as my 702, no dipstick? If so, Kelly told me to fill it until it reaches the side plug. 1 qt. And on the 8speed disreguard the side plug & put 2 qts in it per the dipstick level.
