Another 702 Restoration ?

Recommended Posts

I had the exact same problem with the tranny in my 655. When I went to reinstall everything the new bearing was real sloppy on the shaft, so I got out the mics and found out the bad bearings had eaten about .030" off of it. I stuck it back in for now but I'm sure I'll be tearing it down next winter. The input shaft gear was tore up bad also, PO must have liked to slam shift it without using the clutch.

Justin, the tri-ribs on the front are 4.00-8 Deestones bought from K Morrow Tire. Mike, it probably will be at the show just the way it is and will be used as my ride around the fairgrounds. The only problem is if I buy a 701 that I like, it may never get finished. :hide:
