The decal can be reproduced with the correct serial no, see, our vendors section, as for the metal, I like sand blasting, I've been doing body work for 25+ years and we have always sand blasted stuff.

Terry (Vinylguy) will do a beautiful reproducion of your serial plate.

I preserved the original in a little baggy for some reason. You can usually work them off with a razorblade.

If you dont want to sandblast, or pay someone else to do it, have a read up on electrolysis tanks.

I'm replying mostly to see what the other two pictures look like

I wonder about the brass bushing... Is it supposed to be part of the wheel that got stuck to the spindle?

the bass bushiings were made as a sleve to thiken an lenghen the axel they were sliped over an drilled an held in place with a roll pin the wheel was kept on with a thin brass washer an a snap ring

Mark, I just found this thread and have been looking at your progress. It's looking great so far! I did want to point out that your front wheels are not original to the tractor. That is why the spindle was so worn. If you'll look at these pictues, you'll see the original style which has bearings. They are probably a bit smaller than the ones you have but the bearings will save your spindles and your rims! Also notice the rear wheels. Either your transmission has been changed to a later model transmission and 12" wheels bolted on or someone added rear hubs and the 12" wheels. It originally came with 8" wheels on the back and 4" on the front.

It kinda looks to me that they put the rear wheels on the front, the rearend should not have hubs, the rims fit right on the axle shafts.

I think you're right Kelly! I went back and looked at the tires that were mounted on the front and sure enough they look just like the factory rear tread for the 33/34 Ranger!
