squonk 41,018 #1 Posted April 2, 2011 Found this blade frozen in the ground at a collector who was selling his stuff. He said it went on a tractor but I didn't see how and I knew it wasn't a genuine part. Got it on the cheap. I'm going to make a mid grader back blade combo out of it for my 704.I'm using the fast hitch with one mount for the mid grader and another mount with an extension to mount to the rear plow mount for the back blade. I'll use the slot hitch to lift the blade. The blade itself says "Pacal" on the back of it and it's heavy! I wish I took pictures of it before the frame work mods. It's been all mounted and working and I just got it back from the sand blaster and now it's all in primer. I'm going to mock it all back on before paint in case I want to make any more changes. I'll take some pics with it all mocked up. Here are the components: Blade, lift mount and rear back blade mount: Main frame, blade mount pivot and fast hitch front mount:

squonk 41,018 #3 Posted April 2, 2011 You cut up a $300 Simplicity mid mount grader blade. If it had said Simplicity on it, I might not have done it. At least I'm going to use it instead of letting it rot into the ground.

squonk 41,018 #14 Posted April 24, 2011 Weather hasn't been all that cooperative for painting. Got all the small stuff done by borrowing the construction shop at work where they keep the heat cranked and putting on a couple of coats at night. Yesterday was nice and have one side of the blade done. Hopefully by next weekend I'll have it completed and can start on the dump cart and post pics of the finished product!

You know, that is awesome! And I know all about dog crap. Instead of "Gorilla Glue" I think more customers would have appreciated and understood something like "Dog Crap Glue" better!
