Irv 115 #1 Posted March 30, 2011 Ok guys, need some help here. Trying to take the transmission out of my c-100. The manual says to remove right foot rest, belt guard, brake rod and unbolt the tranny. Then rotate trans. so shift levers clear. This is where I'm stuck, can't seem to get the hi/lo lever to clear the shaft for the brake. Any tips? thanks in advance. dgjks6 6 #2 Posted March 30, 2011 I just went through this while reinstalling an 8 speed trans. I ended up putting the hi/lo lever on after I put the transmission on.
Irv 115 #3 Posted March 31, 2011 At this point I don't even want to think about putting it back in. Looking for help guys!
rmaynard 15,603 #4 Posted March 31, 2011 You may find that you have to remove the bell crank assembly to get the transmission out. That's not difficult. It's easier than trying to get the roll pin out of the hi/lo shifter handle.
