Any tips on how to get the middle pulley off... I was using an impact gun on the nut underneath and holding the other pulleys and they came right off now this middle one is being a bugger...

Once I get this torn down to a shell they will be heading to my father inlaws sandblasting and painting shop to get blasted and primered.

:wh: I soaked my pulleys with BP blaster and let them set over night, they came off pretty easy. I had a 42" side discharge deck sand blasted a couple years ago, after the blasting i coated it with Herculiner ( the stuff you coat truck bed liners with ) It works great, don't have to worry about rust anymore. Hope this helps.

Hey RyanM84, I had a friend tell me to use dot 3 brake fluid on rusty bolts. It really works!! I hope that helps you.

I heated up the pulley with a torch and it came off nice and easy. Now I have to gather up all my parts to get them blasted. Once the deck is blasted I will have my dad weld and patch up the holes. While all that is going on I need to get some parts for my spindles... The cast aluminum corroded over time and Im going to need one spindle housing and some spindle bearings.....
