Horse'n Around 22 #1 Posted March 14, 2011 Hi all, I took a ride and bought a nice trans from Jordan for my Raider a couple of weeks ago. Its all installed and ready to go...well almost, I have already replaced the axle seals and Ive decided to go ahead and replace the other two remaining seals while I'm at it. I did some looking and I just want to make sure the part#'s are right before I order them. The trans that I have in it now is a 5091. The numbers I found for it are WH# 100441....C/R# 7410 for the brake shaft seal and WH# 100442 .... C/R #6105 for the input shaft seal. Im asking because I got the WH part numbers from the manual and I used a link that I found here that someone had posted for the SKF online catalog/interchange page and I just want to make sure that I did it right and cross referenced the numbers right so that I have correct CR part numbers before I order them. I called the NAPA here to check to see if they had them in stock by any chance and they didnt have either so I couldn't compare them and I don't want to get stuck with the wrong ones if I gave them the wrong part numbers to begin with. Im 99% sure I got the numbers right but I thought I would see if I anyone here just happened to have the numbers handy to be safe and can let me know if I have them right, Id really appreciate it.. Thanks, John
rmaynard 15,602 #2 Posted March 14, 2011 John, Those numbers are good. They cross over to NAPA NOS 7410 and NOS 6105. Here is another link: http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?...=18257&hl=seals Bob

rockinhorse 45 #4 Posted March 23, 2011 new to redsquare have raider 12 8spd . how do i change rear axle seals??
Trouty56 567 #5 Posted March 23, 2011  Right or wrong?? I don't know. I did it this way. You have to get the old ones out by using an ice pick or another sharp tool. There is a seal remover I think. I then used emory cloth on the axle to smooth it up and I wound some electrical tape over the keyway overlapping ever so slightly from the inside out single thickness. I oiled up the axle and tape and slide the new seal over it. I used a small flat punch to seat it. I've read others used a pvc pipe.
