varosd 1,185 #1 Posted March 13, 2011 A couple of posts back, someone was talking about getting 30-40 yrs out of their drive belt before it went. Just reached in and feeling the belt on by B-80 and it feels ?shredded? but it runs fine. maybe I'm over reacting and its been that way for 20 yrs?!! Still a newbie and want to be prepared...any tips or steps to replace the belt,, will go OEM belt. any special pullers? set screws or keys? any info would be helpful
can whlvr 993 #2 Posted March 13, 2011 i would buy the oem belt and have it handy, that belt will break when u most likely need the machine,if u have the spare u probally will not need it,murphys law,and u dont need any special tools to change the belt,if yuor b is a horizontal shaft then u just take the belt gaurd off change the belt and put the gaurd back on
