C-120 Hydro creeps into forward from neutral

Recommended Posts

privateer

Working a little bit on the C-120. The horse doesn't want to stay still in neutral. It starts to creep in forward.

When I hit the brake the lever moves to what I assume neutral position fine. Forward and reverse strong, plenty of fluid.

What kind of adjustment is needed? If I dont use the parking brake she finds a way to move forward at a slow pace.

Thanks, Rich

There is an adjustment to eliminate creep on the C-120, as well as any of the hydro models.

The owner's manual for your machine should be available as a free download from Toro.com. If not, post the model number (on the ID plate- not just C-120) here and we'll help you find one.

The Model list I have lists C-120 Automatics as (model#,1-0491, 1975(1976-61-12KS01,SO2,SO3,SO4(1977- 71-12KS01,SO2) I think that is all for C-120's. You can put these model# in here and find all kinds of stuff about your tractor.

Thx for the info. Just what I'm looking for...

C 120

model # 104909

#1013396

Took a good look at it today. Looks like a key adjustment to the trans shaft lever.

Took probably the only functionally plastic piece off these tanks and the clips, no wear or slop at all.
