TJ 171 #1 Posted March 6, 2011 After being deployed with the 1st Marine Div. in Afganistan for the last year, my son is back on U.S. soil at Camp Pendleton. I have so much pride in my son, Jeff, and joy in his safe return. I know that a couple of his friends made the long silent trip home before him; I grieve for their families and salute the young men for making the ultimate sacrifice to a grateful nation. And besides that you taught the lad to root for the best football team! That alone makes him # 1 with The Duke

6wheeler 598 #23 Posted March 7, 2011 Good news TJ. Iam glad your fine son is home. My little brother(5 years younger) is going for his third tour. He leaves in 45 days for 6 mos. in Kuwait and then 6 mos. in Somalia. Unless of course, he gets extended duty again. His last deployment was just 1 and 1/2 years ago. Seems like he just got back. His last tour was in Folusia and then Bagdad and it was an 18 mo. deployment. I hope he retires after this one. Anyway, gongrats. I am very proud of the Men and Women that serve in our defense.. God Bless Them All.
