I just bought what I think is a Round Nose 1960  633 with a 6 horse Techumsa and it has an updraft carb. I paid 75 dollars for it. It has a solid deck, runs and cuts grass. I want to post pics can anyone explain to me how I do it....

You almost have the pic posting. You just need to copy the "IMG" code and paste that code into your post. No need for the http:// button.

I see you made an edit to your post. I was able to copy part of it before you deleted it and grabed the link. Here's your pic but keep trying until you get it.

Very good buy at $75, looks like it has RJ or Suburban fenders and tool box.

Yes those are RJ or suburban fenders and tool box, that is not a Kohler carb, that I've seen, not the intake tube but the carb, looks like a Tucky carb. does it have LME stamped on it?

The fenders and box could be early Ranger also.

This is a 633 that I modified to have elect. start and a 8hp Kohler but you can see the correct fenders and tool box, the seat pan is wrong on my also it should be square.

Stamped LMB... Carb is about worn out so I will be replacing it as time goes on. I will also be looking for original air cleaner parts.

My mistake I ment LMB, and you will have to just use a normal air cleaner, the 633 used a updraft carb, and a funky aircleaner, there was a set up on ebay a few weeks ago with carb and aircleaner, but I'm not sure you can get rebuild kits for the carbs.

Thought you all would get a kick out of this seat that was made to cart a passenger behind my 633. When I choose the red paint for the restore I will paint it to match. Does anyone have suggestions on brand of rattle can paints?633backseat.jpg

With the rumble seat option I'm sure she would pull some good wheelies

Those are RJ/Suburban fenders and tool pan. The carb is a Walbro and the linkage looks very close to a early Clinton set up (aprx 1957/1958). Your carb may have been taken from the RJ that the tool box and fenders came from.

Wheelies! ....It does and I am going to modify it further and add wheels so we can call it a rumbling wheely bar.

I am considering doing some sort of swap on that motor because it is about done, any suggestions? I would hate to paint it all up and have it blow. After it get warmed up it ticks pretty bad.

I would consider putting a 7 or 8hp kohler, they're great engines and are original to many round hoods.

why wait for it to blow, Redo it now before it gets real expensive once it gives up. That's if its in your budget!

Are these engines sleeved? How far can it be punched out and it be safe? I could just ream the edge of the cylinder and hone the rest? Oversised rings? Replace valves, springs and reseat them? From what I can tell these little motors are very easy to rebuild and it will make for a few days of good pics and laughs because I am sure I will screw something up.
