My GT kohler swap with turbo!!!!

Does anybody know where I can find the fan shroud and fan for my kohler motor? I can not find any numbers on it that make since, Ive been told that I need the fan shroud to find out what motor size.

I did put it on the dyno jet dyno and it made 22hp and 33ftpnds at 7PSI on the tires. Yea I was not to impressed but was told it was because of gearing and tires.

Now my problem is I got a driveway grader that I pull behind it and it wants to get hot after a half mile, so I really need a fan shroud and fan.

Thanks, Jeremy

Not sure if you mentioned the RPMs of the engine, but if they are more than 4000 I would get rid of that cast iron flywheel. Those things can explode under high RPMs. Lots of pullers use billet steel ones. You might be able to find one on a pulling web site.

Very cool modification though. A turbo Work Horse... What's not to like about that? :thumbs2:

I am not shure of the RPMs, The govenor is not hooked up but up top it breaks up like the coils can not keep up. My tach. works but it does not read right. I am not trying to turn to many RPMs its all about gearing and horsepower.

I am thinking that it is blowing spark out, The coils do not have long enough to charge at higher RPMS with that much cylinder pressure.

I am very happy how it runs now but like I said it gets pretty hot pulling my grader up and down the driveway.

I am also thinking of putting an oil cooler on it also if I can ever find a fan shroud.

In a little while im planning to fuel inject it with Megasquirt fuel injection with GM LS1/2 coils and yamaha R6 throttle bodies. I just need to figure out the odd fire spark settings for this motor.

I did put a crank degree wheel on it and found that the timing is locked at 20 degrees and the jugs seem to be 90 degrees apart.
