Craftsman 20" Snow Thrower Parts

I cannot find a replacement gauge wheel part no. 25078 for Craftsman snow thrower 536.905902. Sear's website says it is discontinued and there is no replacement part. There has to be some kind of replacement. Does anyone know?

I feel your pain, I have a crapsman rear tine tiller. The pinion input drive gear lost 3 teeth and same scenario as you have. That particular part is discontinued although, every other part for the tiller is available. I can buy a complete transmission for it for $799.00. That is about the same price as a new tiller and the same problem, they only stock parts for 7 years. Then it too will be discontinued. What I did was contact the manufacturer. In this case it was MTD(they are the ones with the complete tranny) and they gave me a number of a used parts place in NY. Maybe one of the NY guys on here will know where it is or how to get a hold of them. Good Luck
