davidmaxwell's RJ-59

Got a chance to work with Charliesd250 today on the RJ. Assembled most of the tractor and gave it a test run. Planning on putting the wheels on tomorrow. Hood still needs quite a bit of work.

Nice little tractor you got going on there, looks great so far. I couldn't imagine getting away with mudding up a tractor hood on my wifes hard wood floors. WOW! What a frightful sight that would be.:thumbs::thumbs:

Looks pretty good so far

I see what looks like the model/serial # tag on the frame. Does it say RJ-59 on it? Could you please post a close up pic of it, if it does?

Looking good!

I find the best way to block out the hood is to mount a gas tank into the straps and if you got an old frame, mount the hood to it.

I'd like to know if thats an original tage too...... and is that a piston on the shifter? I know a Rat Suburban that has a piston shifter.....

The tag was missing when i got it. The adhesive was still there. We assumed it is a 59 because it has a late 59 tranny casting date.

All that is left is engine decal, belt guard, hood, decal application and a little detail work!
