skrusins 128 #1 Posted February 12, 2011 First of all what a great sight! I started to enjoy Wheel horse since 1985, so much that I actually toured there factory in Indiana right behind the University of Notre Dame. It was really neat, and met a lot nice people. I could some advice on how to adjust the speed control lever. When I push the lever all the way up it doesn't want to hold by it self. It keeps slipping down by itself, until I push it back up. The manual writes 6lbs. of what? I want to do it right, by looking at this sight I'm sure this Forum knows what there doing. Thanks in Advance.
zieg72 209 #2 Posted February 12, 2011 Easy fix... with the tractor off, lift up the seat and move the lever. You will see how the lever moves the hydro. The nut on top adjusts the tension which at 6 foot pounds is the proper setting. I don't have a foot pound gauge, I just tightened mine a little at time until it held on its own.
