Recommended Posts

ive started my restore on my suburban 400 hood. someone at one time chopped the hood at the back and cut a hole in the front to stick the muffler through. this is gonna be real fun to weld, grind, and bondo

As Steve said...... a cut hood was common for a bigger motor or even just working on the original motor. If someone had any hassle with removing the steering wheel roll pin to get the hood off.... the hood most likely got cut. I guess it was the next best option. The muffler out the front is a new one to me.... no elbows laying around get a hole saw.
