B-60 Followed me home

Recommended Posts

I am buying a B-60 from a neighbor and here are some photos. The B-60 includes a 36" SD deck and a new/never used 48" blade.

The pics will show some customization. From the pics, what's original and what is not? Let me hear from my RS friends / gurus :banghead: !!!

How about the shifter.....is that from a GTO?

One of the decals shouldn't be there, or is the light not supposed to be there?

The engine, K161, K181 ?????, runs incredibly sweet!

The "Flames" are not original :ROTF:

The blade is a BRAND NEW #79364

This tractor, found on CL, was in a neighbor's garage just

I'm not a B-Series expert but, that looks like a nice unit.......

Shifter handle is an add on.... replace it with a black ball. :banghead:

Unoriginal stuff:

Electric start, battery, and any of the electrical accessories.

Seat and whatever kind of "lift kit" is under it.

All 4 wheels and definitely the rear tires.

The lower decal on the rear fender and the hood side decals.

Shifter knob - is possibly Mopar or aftermarket.

Here's an almost original B-60 (wrong steering wheel and a few other questionable things):

Like TT said, lots of added stuff, but still a NICE unit, I hope your 7' tall with the seat lift, and the plow handle looks like a rat fink shifter, and the complete clevis hitch is a bonus.

:banghead: Thats a real nice tractor!!! The shifter is not from a gto. The gto actually came from the factory with a round knob type shifter.

Nice looking :banghead: !

I wouldn't change a thing! But, after seeing your tractor, I need to customize my plow angle lever a little bit more!

AMC RULES

Has some pretty cool custom touches and shouldn't be too hard to put back to original either, if that's the direction you decide to take down the road.

Does anyone know what the belt sizes for all three belts (or which ever ones you know the sizes of) on a 1976 wheel horse B-60 are? I need to buy belts for my old tractor. Does anyone have this tractor running with correct belts? If so, could you please tell me what sizes the belts are?! thank you!!!

B-60 drive belt is a part number 7473, which is 5/8" x 81.95". What other belts are you looking for? Mower deck belts? What the model number of the deck?

That tractor looks real sweet just as it is. The only thing I would do is remove the Auto Zone flames.

It's your choice but it appears the blade is in the "aggresive" hole. Place the top bar in the next set of holes down for "normal" work. It is your choice though.
