meadowfield 2,650 #1 Posted January 22, 2011 Thought I'd stick a few pics up of my C-101 that looked in good condition and completely original when I got it. Dipping the gearbox and seeing yoghurt started a slow rebuild! as she came! a belgian model just how rusty could things get not good note the oil/water level in the gearbox, she had sat for some time outdoors and the gearbox had filled with water!! new steel welded in where the brake linkage and clutch interfere - I don't like this! back on all fours ! meadowfield 2,650 #5 Posted January 28, 2011 looking at the date of the first picture in pieces 1st october last year. In all it's only a few weeks of a job, but I work 250 miles away all week.... and the cold weather stops me working and as for painting.... I know all poor excuses! :banghead:
WH Raider10 17 #6 Posted January 28, 2011 That looks great Mark! Did you rebuild the engine,or did anything to it? What paint do you use??? :banghead:
meadowfield 2,650 #7 Posted January 28, 2011 That looks great Mark! Did you rebuild the engine,or did anything to it? What paint do you use??? Bcause the engine starts and ticks over so sweet I decided to leave well alone. Shes had an oil change, and new airfilter and a good clean. Hopefully she'll fire up tomorrow when shes reunited with the chassis. Paint is a UK paint, Crown flame red - a non drip metal paint. It's the best match we could get, even the mix charts couldn't get this close.

Glad to see you've turned Red and joined the RS Support group Mark. that engine tray sucks! I had to drop the front axle in order to bolt the engine back, and even then the bolts aren't that easy to get back in. Anyway got my tach a matic back on, engine bolted down and steering all greased up! Added 4ft of fuel hose, a filter...connected the wiring back, turned the key nothing?!? pressed the clutch....nothing. shorted out the seat contacts...nothing moved the pto lever...nothing connected the ammeter... bingo! took about 15 seconds to pull the fuel through - the clear filter helps here to see it's actually being drawn through. She started and ran as sweet as she did before I stripped her down. re: support group - yup, running these forums takes time and money - glad to offer my support! :hide:
