got a good start on this project today. sandblasted all the sheet metal, and painted it. the frame and trans-axle was in such good shape all it needs is a little wire brushing(thats tomorrows project)

That was a real nice 700 to start with... The seat looks great in the picture... Most times them two piece seats are all broken down and that one looks all nice and firm still... Keep up the great work... :banghead:

after inspecting my dried paint this morning, im gonna need to do some wetsanding. but first were heading up to see a guy that has a bunch of wh parts, im lookin for an original techumseh h70. someone put a newer i/c h60 on this machine that im wanting to sell or trade.

and yes this tractor was in excellent shape to begin with, i almost left it alone, but i need another shiny one. :banghead:

Jason I'm in Wabash... Not to far... I've bought alot of things from Bill Caffee (spelling?) there in Peru. About three years ago he had a WH junk yard. I put one of my tractors together from his pile but now the pile is all gone.

:banghead: Jason, I like your 700 but know nothing about them. What year is it? I guess it's a 7HP motor?

amcrules00, from what i can tell its a 1969 7 hp recoil start, its very similiar to the 500 special.

haasman, i live 3/4 mile from bill, i was over there today and was dissappointed to see the pile gone. but i did go down the hill and found a gas tank,

Similar to the 500 Special, probably why it looks so darn cool. :banghead:

My Work Horse 700 isn't too bad,but not as nice as what yours was to start with.

Maybe I'll have to redo mine after all.

N :thumbs nice little tractors. :banghead:

Nice tractor, and Bill is a great guy to deal with, I bought a full truck load and filled the trailer from him a little over a year ago, all out of his junk pile.
