I installed a headlight bucket and new lens cover on my B-80 the other day and used it with the snowplow one night this week.

Here is a video of the B-80 with eyes in action:

Very nice. How far ahead of you did they cast a usable light?

Bob: I would say 8 to 10 feet. They are not as bright as led bulbs but they are the blue sylvania type.

I think they were about 7 dollars for two and they are brighter than the original type bulbs.

That's not too bad. In many cases it is more about being seen than seeing.

I went out and bought a pair of those 1156 Silver Stars. $9.99 pr at Auto Zone for my C-160. The white headlight bucket paint was falling off so I got some HVAC foil tape and "re-reflected" the bucket. Then I cleaned the gunk off the inside of the lens. Haven't had a chance to try it at night yet. Thanks for the idea! :ROTF::hide::banghead::thumbs:

Just be careful some of those high intensity bulbs will melt the plastic lens. Don't ask how I know.

I have the light bucket for my B-80 but havent run the wire as of yet. I painted the inside of the bucket with white paint. I just have the plastic lens on so far, I have been using a LED headlamp to snow blow and really it works great!

There's a gap between the lens and the hood on mine. Air -Cooled lights!! :banghead:
