Here is the update on the 550. This is one of those tractors that u work an hour to go 2 hours backwards. But it is finally coming together.

Awesome looking so far! :ychain::D:D

One suggestion though. Your rims are backwards on the front. Valve stems are on the indies rather than the outside. :hide:

I needed it. Found one and printed it off and tape it to the cabinet door in the garage. Thanks

It sure does. :D

Awful strange that it does when all the pictures in the manual and all of the advertisements show just the opposite. Very strange indeed.

It needed coil, points, condenser, all new wiring, Had to put a different carb on it the old carb was real bad. I test run it for a few minutes on the bench but will need tuned in under load. I may have to take a break on restores for about a month getting kinda cold sandblasting outside. :ychain:

Great job on the tractors. Dad always told me "If your going to do something, do it right the first time. If you don't your just making more work for yourself later on."

Looks like you did it right :banghead: :thumbs:

There's a good post going now on someone elses Lauson H55 motor on timing. Did you time your's out at .05 or .08 DTDC?
