B-8074 19 #2 Posted December 22, 2010 I may be wrong, but won't it burn out real fast because the tractor is a 12v system.
TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #3 Posted December 22, 2010 Seeing how the electrical system on your B-80 is 12V, I don't recommend hooking it up at all. If you get the proper light, feed an SPST toggle switch (mount it in the dash - there's already a spot for a switch) with a 15 amp fused 12 or 14 gauge wire connected to the "A" terminal on the ignition switch. Hook the wire from the light to the other terminal on the toggle switch and it should work - if the light is adequately grounded.

rmaynard 15,535 #5 Posted December 23, 2010 If it was my tractor, I would buy 12 volts lights. However, if you have two 6 volt lights, you can put them in series. They will work properly. The problem is, if one burns out, the other one will go out too. Also, the grounds would have to be isolated to complete the circuit properly, so stick with 12 volt lights. KC9KAS 4,741 #7 Posted December 23, 2010 The 6 volt light will be MUCH brighter....for a nano second before it blows!
