Stigian 1,234 #1 Posted April 30, 2008 Morning all Yes its that time again when i ask another "will it fit?" question Have any of you chaps fitted a Magnum 12 engine out of a er.. 312-8 into a Raider? The 2 big questions on my mind are, will it fit under a standard Raider hood or will i have to find one to modify? Also would i have to swap sump pans with the Raider K241 useless lump? TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #2 Posted April 30, 2008 That's a 100% bolt-on swap, Ian. You have to change the ignition switch though. Your Raider has battery ignition and the M12 has a magneto. Toro / WH P/N 103991 is the grounding type switch used for this style ignition. Use the wire that originally fed power to the coil since it's already in the harness. Run it from the "M" terminal on the ignition switch to the small grounding wire coming from the coil on the Magnum.
Stigian 1,234 #3 Posted April 30, 2008 Cheers for that Terry A 100% bolt in swap sounds good to me If all goes to plan the Raider will get the 312-8's heart early next week. Oh, dont worry the 4x4 project is still going ahead, its just going to happen on a 314-8 that i should be picking up sometime over the next week :D
