making a WH 211-5 better?

Ok I am fairly newbie to this board I bought a used Wheel Horse 211-5 11 hp rider model number B2-11B591 I bought it used off Craigslist for $250 did a tune up on it did not replace the points should I? changed the oil new fuel filter and hose. It needs all new belts and a muffler it's quite loud. I have the round muffler with the baffle on it what's with some tractors with the tall silver pipe and rain cap? Just something different? Any way reason I am posting is I think I am getting the Tim Taylor feeling about the tractor I bought. I want to replace the worn out rubber foot pads on the deck with diamond plate. Not sure if i can put larger wheels on the front saw someone did that on a older tractor 310 i think I have the 11 hp Briggs & stratton vertical engine now. It's a strong motor I am sure I could swap it out with a horizontal engine but now sure about the belt set up on my deck witch I got the 37" deck from 1984 I need a good used or new plastic flap that bolts to the deck, mine is shot and doesnt work. I have the small bagger on my mower forgot the size. I wonder if i can swap that out for a double bagger Toro one?

I dont think you have points on that Briggs so no worries there. I would fix the little things and make it a good grass mowin machine and start looking for a Wheel Horse garden tractor to "beef up and customize".

You'll never make a horizontal engine work on your 211-5.
