Custom horse mods/add ons...lets see them!

Recommended Posts

I like the "outside the box" stuff. guys putting there brains to work and doing something a bit differant. Lets see what you got! I want to see those add ons, custom little things you guys have done to your horses. Cupholders, custom seats, lights, exhausts......whatever you have done to make your horse yours.

I will add pictures tomorrow as the paint is drying right now but i picked up this cool light assy off ebay that happened to be painted red.....(wheelhorse part?) long story short its got glass blasted an hour after it arrived at my door. tonight it got mounted, removed, primed and painted. In the morning ill wire her up by adding a on/off switch to the dash panel. This old 856 is going to have some working lights on her by tomorrow mid morning. cool part is the assy fit the tractor pretty darn well.....almost makes me thing it might have been for a wheelhorse. well it is now!

also will be doing a seat mod once i get the seat post form horsefeathers. thanks bud! once thats done she will be a "one of a kind" 1966 856.

Lets see what kind of imaginations we have on this site and all that custom work!!!

Didn't want to get too radical so I kept this one on the "Mild Side"!

Don't want to scare small children or spook the other Horses!

 HORSEFEATHERS!

Bud, I never get tired of looking at that... A work of art to be sure!

PS the rear tires that you have on it look like the ones that always seemed to be on the back of my '69 Charger R/T. I dont know why. Wait, scratch that...I can actually see traces of tread on yours... mine were baloney skins, I dont know why, for some reason any tires I put on it alsays ended up so worn you could see that air in them

would it be wrong to take an 856 and make it an open wheel fender set up like the old round hoods? i cant buy another horse.......should i just say to hell with it and customise this original? there is something to be said about a "one of a kind". what id really like to do is small fenders with a seat post between the wheels just like the old round hoods.

You would be building a 1045 kinda, the factory made them all ready, and others have made there own.

Check the Wheel Horse Tractor Gallery a few topics down.... (or click here!!) People have been posting customs for several years now... and many of these people don't hang around here anymore. If you don't look through there, you'll miss some good stuff!
