sorekiwi 761 #2 Posted October 30, 2010 There is a setscrew with a "dogpoint" that locates the ball on the shift lever. Probably yours has come loose or the point broken off it. Lift up the rubber boot where the stick enters the transmission. The setscrew will be on the front of the square boss where the lever goes into the transmission. It will have a jam nut on it. There is a lot of threads about it here, seems like about 1/2 of the shifting issues people have are related to this setscrew.
