stoneman 10 #1 Posted October 19, 2010 this is my lab mix son . . . Pastor Sabbath Black. His dad is a black lab that came through my buddy's yard one night and hasn't been back since. his mother is a beagle, austrailian sheherd, blue healer mix. a few of you guys have met him. i take him into the ace hardware and napa with me. everybody says hello and good bye to him first . . . then me. he carries stuff out to the truck for me and they all get a kick out of that, but not as big a one as me. he's just a year and a half, and so smart. and quite a character to have around. Ken B 3,164 #10 Posted October 21, 2010 Here are a few shots of our Beagle Emma. Sadly a few yrs. ago I had to put down our Weimaraner "Woody" because of a brain tumor. He was only 7. Emma is only 3, we found out a few weeks ago that she has cancer. The vet says she should pull thru. Man I hope so. She is a great family dog, she loves tractor, car and boat rides. We took the MasterCraft out this summer with the tube. My older son jumped on the tube and Emma jumped right on it with him. I towed the two of them upto 25 mph and they both loved it! One day I let Emma out, she never leaves the yard. About an hr went by and I noticed she was still outside so I gave her a yell. Nothing. She always comes when called. Me and the kids ran outside and started yellin her name. Nothing. Panic was settin in now as she was nowhere to be found. I had parked my Shelby in the middle of the yard earlier in the day. I don't know what made me look in the car but what do ya know. She hopped right thru the passenger window and was sound asleep on the front seat! I had to have a little talk with her to let her know this car is off limits! I was finding dead squirrels in my yard. I like squirrels, I even have about ten houses in the trees I made for the little critters. One night around dusk I heard a bunch of raspy beagle barkin in the back yard. From the distance I noticed an animal leaping off the ground about 7 ft up a tree. Gettin closer I could see it was my dog! Once I got real close Emma was settin on her rump lookin up the tree and the squirrel was about 7 ft still up the tree really givin Emma hell. In an instant she leaped and that squirrel was in her mouth. By the time I could get it out of her mouth the poor little guy was a goner. Time for another talk. After that talk I haven't found any more dead squirrels!

Duff 206 #19 Posted October 24, 2010 Our "son" and "daugter" (we have no biological children). The Golden, Chopin (like the composer), was rescued from a pet store. Lady Grace (the Black Lab-Shepherd mix) came to us from the local humane society. We love them both as much as if they were really our kids! Then there's Champ, our other "son". He's a 24YO quarter horse given up for adoption when his "mom" left to go to college and wanted him to be ridden and well cared for. My wife, proudly aboard him in the photo, spoils him beyond belief! Duff
dclarke 4,032 #20 Posted December 3, 2010 This is Bailey, our spoiled beagle. This week we have received bad news about Bailey. She has chronic kidney failure and just a few days to live. We're hoping for one more weekend with her but don't want her to suffer. Our three girls have all made it home to spend what time they can with her. We think she's @ 11 years old and we have had her @ seven and a half years. Our girls refer to her as "sis", and this is very hard for them to accept as it is for my wife and i. it's amazing how attached you get and how much of a blessing pets really are. Please say a prayer for her. Its going to be a tough week. Denny.
